#32 Lip Readings: Popular Cinema and Lesbian Interpretive Strategies (Projecting onto the Screen)

Friday Night Lip Readings returns as Daria, Gem and Yen explore the ideas of Popular Cinema and Lesbian Interpretative Strategies in a so-titled paper by Cheryl Dobinson and Kevin Young.

When lesbians can't see their own kind on the screen, what are we to do? Why, tell ourselves it was there all along, of course. Subtext, the lesbian gaze (gayze?) and strange tangential giggle-fits are the order of the day in this episode.
